- Paul Le Messurier has been given access to Le Marchant's letters held in the the Guernsey Archives and others held at Sandhurst. He has also been given exclusive access to memoirs written by his son in 1841.
- A monument to Le Marchant's memory was erected in St Paul's Cathedral, a rare honour and one which indicates the importance of his contribution.
- Le Marchant's improvement of the professionalism of the British Army would play a part in the eventual defeat of Napoleon.
