About
One rainy November evening, Thomas Awdrey is pulled in for drunken driving in Lenhaven. It is only on further examination of the vehicle that the police realise that the very drunk Awdrey has a passenger who is dead. A more thorough examination leads to the conclusion that Awdrey had run the man over. With a shoddy explanation for events, he is soon arrested for manslaughter. Thus begins the puzzle in ''Dr. Piestley Investigates,'' first published in 1930.
