About
Using humor and forty years of classroom experience in Florida's schools, a veteran teacher walks the reader through the merits and pitfalls of a career in education. Direct personal first-hand insight cuts through rampant misconceptions and boldly outlines the true nature of this noble and challenging career, and the type of person who would (and just as importantly, WOULDN'T) thrive in it. Born in Havana, Cuba, Robert Henandez grew up in Miami, Florida, graduating with a biology degree from the University of Miami. He married his wife (since 1985 and counting), moved to Tampa where he added a Masters degree from the University of South Florida. He has two amazing sons who are his pillars. Currently retired in the sleepy beach town of Ormond Beach, Florida after 40 years in the classroom, Robert occupies himself writing all the works he was too busy to get to while teaching. His spare time is split between his family and the magnificent Florida springs and bike trails.
