Defying Fate

Ike Jaeger is off to college, earning an engineering degree he may put to use on Planet Valhalla, or building a warp generator small enough to carry on one's person. But he's not going to let classes, studying, or homework distract him from what's most important: football, hot rods, and girls. Coach Stauchel has chosen Ike to be the starting quarterback as part of his strategy to turn the Yosemite Pumas into a winning team. It's a job Ike takes seriously.
