Father Markus Knyte, a Vatican priest, is assigned as a professor at Wheaton College while searching for clues about the possible resurrection of the first Vampyre. Along the way, others seek the same knowledge. During his search, he encounters unlikely allies, both old and new. As the vampyres build their ranks, he faces increasingly unpredictable challenges.
