Champagne Charlie and the Amazing Gladys

In Victoria's London, English aristocrat Edward 'Charlie' Decharles wakes up in the back of a steam-cab with a hangover, and a murdered driver. Australian music-hall performer 'The Amazing' Gladys Dunchurch finds that the stage magician she works for has vanished - and not in a good way. Realizing that neither can solve their crime alone, the pair teams up to use Charlie's considerable resources and Gladys' even more considerable brain to investigate.

As they seek answers, Charlie and Gladys discover that both of their cases are parts of a far larger crime - a conspiracy that reaches from Whitehall to the moon itself, and lies at the very heart of the Steam Age.
