About

Blunt and Lyrical is a set of 107 poetries. It is a beautiful blend of two opposite tones, one is lyrical, the another is blunt. In its structure sometimes, in the diction, or in the lines, the book is paradoxically existent with both the expressions. It preserves the poetries about the subaltern, the deprived, the least spoken about, the left ones, and casts the images of desolation, solitude, and hope, the eager to grow. The poetries in its themes, speak about the domains of love, relationships, time, the self, socio-political, socio-cultural issues, state, their imposed violences. Its subjects address the plights of the Tea Tribe community of Assam, politics, democracy, history, civilization, society, floods of Assam, corruption, government offices, farmers, nation, freedom, revolution, insurgency, the love and hatred of this earth, women, illegal immigration, equality, dreams, psychology, to a diverse range of contemporary and universal subjects.
