About
KYLE ZUNKER IS a leading construction attorney, former atheist, and the author of Amazing Courage, a book about the power to choose faith over fear.As a principal of one of Texas' largest construction- focused law firms, Kyle has represented national and international construction companies in numerous multi- million-dollar disputes. His work on these high-stakes legal cases has resulted in seven- and eight-figure damage awards and his recognition in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in the field of Construction Law. His expertise is backed by his Doctor of Jurisprudence, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law and his triple-major Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, English, and Spanish, also magna cum laude, from Texas Lutheran University. As a leader in his industry, he serves as the Young Lawyer's Representative for the Construction Section of the State Bar of Texas and hosts the Basic Course in Texas Construction Law.Kyle finds meaning in conquering ultra-distance endurance athletics events. In 2021, he completed the Leadville 100 Trail Run-a 100-mile footrace across the Rocky Mountains-and raised more than $12,500 for charity in the process. He followed that up in 2023 by running the Habanero Hundred-a 100-mile footrace in the dog days of Texas's legendary summer heat, with temperatures reaching 107 degrees Fahrenheit. Kyle passionately supports his local churches in New Orleans and San Antonio through financial giving and by serving on the advisory board, where his legal training and goal-oriented practical experience provide valuable insight. As a former atheist, Kyle struggled with fear, anxiety, and panic attacks. His life changed when he chose faith and learned to fight fear's lies with God's truth. When his father was diagnosed with esophageal cancer a few years later, Kyle put the lessons he learned into practice by writing letters of encouragement to his father throughout his treatment. He now seeks to help others overcome their fears through faith in action.
