A Prayer for the Damned

Thirteen years after the American Civil War, the sweltering desert town of Sudden, New Mexico, becomes the backdrop for a perilous quest for a lost Confederate fortune. Bounty hunter Cole arrives and collapses into the dusty streets, weary and bullet-riddled after an encounter with an unhinged man of god, the Preacher, who also seeks the fortune. Awaiting him is Mattie, his card-sharp lover, and a town full of wary residents including Sheriff Duncan, who urge him to abandon his dangerous pursuit. But Cole persists, propelling him into a deadly showdown with the Preacher. As bullets fly and ambitions clash, Sudden becomes the stage for a violently fatal confrontation.
