In the second book in this series, "Without Consent," Suzanne De Marco has returned to her hometown only to realize that she no longer fits in. She is threatened by her former partner Lulu to return to the business and discovers that the town mayor has secretly established a bogus modeling agency on a Caribbean Island to attract underage girls. Lulu has joined partnership with him to lure in model wannabes to The Perfection Agency. Suzanne joins Sgt. Andy Dormer who rescued her in the first book and has now become a romantic interest to thwart the business. The romantic feelings between Suzanne and Sgt. Dormer fade away when he is unfaithful, and the book ends with Suzanne returning to L.A. a jaded and lost woman once again. Look for book three: Burning Ghosts.
