War of the Worlds: Infestation

The invasion continues! First defeated by a tiny Earth microbe, the alien invaders have adapted and their total conquest of planet Earth is well under way. In this action-packed comic series, the alien invasion has descended upon Kansas City with all new terrifying weapons, but the government and the military are gone and left the city undefended, how does Kansas City stand a chance? Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away in a small plains town called Haven, an outpost of humanity just might have been given a second chance at survival until the war strikes home. Based on concepts and stories originated by H.G. Wells! This Issue: With the command center now destroyed the resistance has little, if anything, left to combat the alien's onslaught. Steven Koch remains trapped in a cellar by the Black Smoke, while Lewis and Mother McFadden try to dig their way out from what's left of the command center. At Haven, the Hellweed begins to absorb the Haven Medical Center with disastrous results. Can the people of Haven stop the ravaging weed before it envelopes the entire town? Meanwhile Julie and Dr. Smith face the Haven Town Council as it tries to decide what action they will take against them for bringing the terror of the Hellweed to their doorstep.
