Issue #4
Part of the Conan the Barbarian: Scourge of the Serpent series
In 1934, a possessed Evelyn Gordon fired a gun at her husband. After bringing her to her senses, John Kirowan recognized a hidden presence working through the serpent ring. Using his hard-won occult knowledge, Kirowan unmasked the figure behind it - his twisted rival Yosef Vrolok, who had placed the ring in Kirowan's path intending to draw power from his death.
In the Hyborian Age, Conan of Cimmeria came face to face with the murderer haunting the museum: the GOD IN THE BOWL, a monstrous entity loosed from a Stygian relic and eager to claim the Cimmerian as its next victim.
In the Thurian Age, King Kull, suspecting serpent-men among his seventeen councilors, gathered them in the council chamber. At his side, Brule the Spear-Slayer spoke the mystic words that stripped away their glamours, revealing the traitors' true forms.
Across the ages, all three men became locked in mortal battle, overwhelmed by the dark powers closing in. Until, in a shuddering moment beyond time, they found themselves transported, drawn before a terrible, radiant figure whose words promised certain doom: SET, THE GREAT SERPENT.
