About
Elle, an off-the-books Replicant codenamed Black Lotus, was created by Niander Wallace Jr to be his unwitting assassin, the heart of his scheme to seize control of the Wallace Corporation.
Following a violent confrontation with Niander Wallce Jr that left him blind and his father, Wallace Sr, dead - along with Elle's sister Replicant, White Lotus - Elle fled on her Spinner bike into the California desert, hoping to find a new life, free from violence, bloodshed and death.
After a brief sojourn living with and defending an environmental commune, Elle once again set out back into the desert searching for clues to her past. There she found herself in the abandoned and irradiated ruins of Las Vegas where she discovered, in an ancient-Egyptian-themed casino, a whole community of Replicants.
Under the leadership of a woman called Cleopatra, a safe haven exclusively for runaway Replicants had been created. She welcomed Elle and explained the history of Las Vegas after the dirty bomb and how two casinos, hers and one run by the rival faction of Roman Replicants, now ruled the desert city in peace and harmony.
Meanwhile, Neander's 'capture team', referred to as The Doll Squad, tracked Elle down to Las Vegas. However, before they could act they were ambushed by a squad of Brekker Solutions mercenaries, who also wanted the bounty placed on Elle's head.
In the ensuing fire-fight, Koslov, Smith and Brown were killed, and Davis was captured by a squad of Replicants dressed as Roman centurions.
