The Five Hells of Orion

The aliens were fighting for their lives against the Old Ones. And losing. Badly. They had run as far as they could and still were facing total eradication. Humans knew nothing of them or their fight or of the Old Ones and were blithely going to and from their successful colonies in Betelgeuse 9. But then the aliens, in their desperation for any ally, decided to seek help from these odd repulsive bipeds by kidnapping one. This is the story of how that worked out for them.
