About

My name is Shane Irvine, I am both the author and the narrator of this audiobook, Law School, learn to think like a lawyer. I want to guide you through the major doctrines of jurisprudence. I have prepared 30 chapters of dialog on the subjects of contracts, crimes, torts, procedure, evidence, property, corporations, family law, and constitutional law. Law school is designed to produce experts in law that are worthy of advising consumers on their legal needs. This series of courses is only designed to familiarize the listener with the basics of the disciplines of law and adopt the organizational structure of law necessary to think like a lawyer. Hence, that is our goal, to learn to organize our way of thinking in a structured manner. Traditional law school requires an undergraduate degree and costs can range from $60,000 to $160,000. Coursework ranges from three to four years and there is no guarantee of matriculation. Law is a difficult subject to master. This series of lectures covers all the law school breadth materials in about 24 hours and is composed of generic law principles. For example, if a professor of law at Yale Law School says that murder in the first degree is the killing of a human being by another human being with malice aforethought," and I tell you that, murder in the first degree is the killing of a human being by another human being with malice aforethought," it's the same information, right? That's what I mean by saying that all general principles of law are generic." I have organized generic law school information found on Wikipedia to piece together this series of lectures.
