Back in the days when television was black and white and there were only three channels to watch, the great outdoors were all the playing field a kid needed. Ingenuity, was the engine of entertainment. Bobby had a great imagination but he was a lonely nine-year-old-kid who needed friends. He was the short kid in the neighborhood who loved to play baseball at the local sandlot, but was seldom invited. Today however a surprise awaited him! Not only did he get asked to play but he also discovered a best friend in the most unlikely place...a friend who would forever change his life!
