When Jonesy is fired from yet another job, Nikki goes out on a limb and scores him a job at The Khaki Barn. But her not-so-subtle plan to get more one-on-one Jonesy time isn't going as smoothly as she'd hoped. The gang is on to Jonesy and Nikki – even though they won't admit it, they LIKE like each other. And the other four friends are freaking OUT. What happens if they start dating each other? Will they lose their two best friends? And what if they break up – they'll all have to take sides, it'll get ugly… this romance must be stopped. The gang do everything they can to throw a huge wrench into Jonesy and Nikki's awkward first date… and Nikki and Jonesy don't get much alone time after all. But the spark is there... And Jonesy gets fired from The Khaki Barn.

Caitlin's a shoe-in for Khaki Girl, a "real girl" chosen every year to represent The Khaki Barn and take home a free KB wardrobe. She's thrilled! But her long time "frienemy" Tricia isn't about to let Caitlin just walk away with the prize, so she enters too. The group is whittled down to two and Tom, the district rep, can't decide between Caitlin and Tricia. In the heat of the moment, Tricia challenges Caitlin to a shop off – winner takes all – and Caitlin accepts. After much training and trash talk, it looks as though Caitlin is going to win… until Tricia mercilessly trips her in the middle of her one-handed-text-messaging-over-the-shoulder bag swap and Caitlin's disqualified. Meanwhile, Jonesy runs the new Roast Burky Chunklets booth in the Food Court and, with a little help from Jude, neglects to refrigerate the meat. The resulting food poisoning incident is the worst the mall's seen in decades and everyone succumbs to the sickness – everyone except Caitlin. When Tricia gets sick, Caitlin is crowned the new Khaki Girl in her place. Tricia makes good on her part of the bet – to wear the lemon hat in the mall for one whole day – and Jonesy gets fired.

Jonesy's hired as The Mall Special Events Coordinator and his first guest appearance – a famous Sooth-saying Swami – is a no show. To save his hide, he convinces Jude to get up on stage and pretend to be the Swami. To everyone's surprise, Jude's off-beat logic actually seems to be just what the audience needs… including Caitlin. Caitlin's luck with guys is really getting her down and she's open to any suggestions… but she might be leaning on Jude's advice just a little too much. Unfortunately not everyone benefits from Swami Jude's "wise words". While Caitlin's scored herself a date, Wyatt finds himself stuck up at the top of a ladder for hours while waiting for the motivation to get back down again. Of course in the end, Jonesy gets fired.

Wyatt's sixteenth birthday has arrived and no one could be less thrilled than Wyatt. Thanks to his family's twisted party themes he hates birthday parties and wishes his friends would just let this one go by. But Jen has other ideas and rallies the troops to give Wyatt the sixteenth birthday he deserves. It's a biggie! Wyatt begrudgingly agrees to a party and Jen delegates the duties to the gang. Unfortunately, all of them get tied up during the day and by six o'clock there's no cake, no decorations, and no party. Scrambling to save the day, Jonesy sneaks them into a bridal shower for an Albatross and Finch employee in the store and the gang has to pretend that the party is actually for Wyatt. They almost have him fooled and really enjoying his party, until he gets up to give a thank you speech and is booed off the stage by the wedding shower guests. Wyatt realizes that it's the thought that counts and in the end is glad his friends tried so hard – as long as they never throw him another party again.

Wyatt asks Serena out for Valentines Day and makes tons of traditionally romantic plans for the big night – flowers, candy, reservations – the works. But when he overhears Serena talking about how cheesy Valentine's Day is, Wyatt panics and cancels all his plans. Caitlin and Jen convince him that this is in fact a mistake of gargantuan proportions and that Serena's feelings will be hurt if he plays it too cool on this, the holiest of girl holidays. So with mere hours to go, Wyatt searches high and low to find the perfect gift for his crush. Meanwhile, Jonesy ventures waaaay out on a limb and asks Nikki out a date – but Nikki turns him down because she doesn't do Valentines Day dates anymore. Her Valentine's Day Date Embargo stems from some very bad experiences in years past and she's not about to risk another bad date. Nikki tries to convince Jen and Caitlin, who are searching frantically for dates, that they don't need a guy to have fun on Feb. 14th, but the girls try to find some anyway. Their scrambling gives Jonesy a GREAT idea – he erects the "Win a Dream Date with Jonesy" booth and lets women bid on the privilege of going on a Valentine's Day dream date with him. His foolproof plan to score big bucks backfires, however, when some unexpected people start to place bids.

The gang is in agreement – Jen is always butting into everyone else's business. In fact, they're convinced that it is physically impossible for Jen to keep her opinions to herself for 24 hours. Jen, being competitive in nature, decides to take that bet. The gang have some fun toying with Jen and come up with wild plans that they know that she knows are a bad idea in order to win the bet. Meanwhile, Jude's been acting strangely lately, skipping skating sessions, forgetting about movie marathons with the guys, losing passion for his Stick-it art – it's very anti-Jude. After much sneaking around and spying on him (Jen tries to resist but gives up and takes a loss on the bet – this is way too interesting!), the gang learn that Jude's "big deep dark secret" is that he's flunking several classes at school. They all get together to help him get his grades up… but will Jude have to repeat a year?

Wyatt has taken Serena out on a few dates now, but their "relationship" is yet to be defined, and Wyatt finally gets up the courage to ask her if she'd like to be his girlfriend. Serena tells Wyatt she thinks she's a little too "mature" for him, being one year older and all, and Wyatt is crushed until Jonesy convinces Serena that younger guys are like puppies – "easily trainable". Wyatt takes Serena on what Caitlin assures him is a "mature" date, but it ends up backfiring on him big time. Meanwhile, Caitlin's dream of being part of the Albatross and Finch family looks like it just might come true. The usually 'legacies only' store is holding an open audition for new Greeter Gods and Goddesses and Caitlin has got her snobby stares down to perfection. But her dreams of getting out of the lemon for good are shattered when the A&F crew choose Jonesy instead. Caitlin learns through Jonesy's experience that working at A&F isn't all the catalogues crack it up to be.

When Jonesy starts working at The Penalty Box and doing a much better job at sales than Jen, Jen is furious. The two start competing for commissions and the customers become the spoils of war. The competition extends to their personal lives when Jonesy makes a comment at lunch about how "guys are just naturally better at some things" and Nikki, Jen and Caitlin take offense. Soon the lines between the sexes are drawn and an all out, all-over-the-mall battle of the sexes begins, culminating in the ultimate dare of a lifetime. Meanwhile, Jude starts a Dude Daycare at The Mall and ends up with more kids – and trouble – than he can handle. Will the guys have to ask the girls for help after all?

Jonesy's new gig as the production assistant for local cable access isn't moving his new "film career" forward as quickly as possible, so he decides to film his own show, "Prank T.V.". And the first victim – Nikki. Caitlin agrees to be an accomplice and convinces her to spend the day with her getting a girlie make-over. Nikki reluctantly agrees and endures her personal nightmare of a day – manicures, waxing, and the ultimate horror - bikini shopping – all to make Caitlin feel better about getting dumped by a guy she wansn't even dating. But what will Nikki do to them when she finds out she's been pranked?

Halloween is usually a spooky time at the mall… but it's about to get downright frightening when Jonesy hosts a Midnight Madness movie marathon in the atrium of the mall.

The Big Dance is coming up and everyone is desperately looking for dates… everyone except for Wyatt. Wyatt is head over heels in love with Serena. So in love, in fact, that he doesn't care if Jonesy and Jude rib him like crazy for it - which they do, without abandon. When Serena goes on a senior's trip to France with the rest of her class the week before the dance, Wyatt isn't worried…. so everyone is shocked when he receives a text message from Serena saying that they're through. "She broke up with you on a TEXT MESSAGE?" The girls tend to Wyatt's broken heart (and making sure Serena pays) while the guys help him get 'back in the saddle' in time for the dance.

Jen's big sister is back from College (where she flunked out after second year) and Jen is horrified when she starts hanging out with her gang. As usual, Jen has landed smack dab in the middle of her big sister's shadow – Courtney is prettier, sexier, more stylish, has more money to buy clothes, is funnier, and better traveled. She's also kind of a shallow witch and is dismissive as ever of Jen – but none of the gang seems to notice. The guys are shocked to learn that Jen is COURTNEY'S little sister – that girl was a babysitting LEGEND at their middle school! Every guy in sixth grade had a crush on her. Jen has to cover her ears at this – ewww! Jen's used to guys falling all over her sister but she's dismayed to see that Nikki and Caitlin can't get enough of her stories about dating, traveling and college. Desperate to get their attention back, Jen dies her hair blonde (actually green in the end), scores a fake ID and pulls an unbelievable stunt. But it isn't until Courtney leaves them all hanging in the wind and Jen is the only one to bail them out that the gang all realize that they already had the cooler sister's affection – Jen.
