A storm is brewing in the Ugandan Parliament when a radical proposal is moved to reorient the phonetic instruction of the English alphabet from Apple to Ankole. Tribal battle lines are drawn and blows are thrown as the 'alpha-debate' rages on. Is it an honest proposal to market the country or a ploy that is hard to decipher?

Two army officers are posted to the restive Karamoja region of Uganda where they soon patronise a nearby bar operated by a snoopy, but patient old man for a regular drinking session of waragi, a tough local liquor. One evening at the bar unravels a cruel history that had been waiting to be buried. But just how much of this history can the tough liquor wash away?
