About

The Award-Winning story of the Birth of FM Rock Radio. Winds of Change is the story and tribute to FM Rock. Until 1967 FM Radio did not exist. That was until progressive, free form, acid rock FM Radio exploded out of KMPX radio in San Francisco. FM Radio for the first time allowed music longer than three minutes, lyrics with something to say, and DJ's who had an opinion. FM was the vehicle for self-expression through music. This documentary brings you first-hand accounts from the DJ's and musicians who were there. They tell the story of the impact, and influence that FM Rock Music had on escalating the turbulent anti-war movement, free love, the generation gap, civil rights and the acceptance of sex, drugs and rock and roll. Decades before Facebook and Twitter - FM Rock was the social media of its time and the catalyst of America's first modern revolution. This is their story.
