The First Hour

What happened in the first hour after the end of World War II? Germany 1945, the Third Reich has just collapsed, and the first Allied troops are moving in. The soldiers are combing every barn and haystack, looking for Nazis, last resistance and hidden weapons. Will people be killed or will there be gum and chocolate? Will this be a liberation or a purge? "The First Hour" is a documentary of unheard memories and stories from the last moments of World War II and the first moments of peace.
