Based on a true event of murder, injustice and disorder in Mississippi following the Civil War; and the short story "The Outlaw, the Sheriff, and the Governor" by Robert E. Jones. When Joe Loftin is accused of killing his brother and escapes the law, the honorable Sheriff Dan Lee must bring him to justice.
