Through Death to Life

Through Death to Life is a collection of five sketches based on the Serbian experience of the 1912-1918 period of the Balkan Wars and the First World War. Topics of the sketches involves scenes from the time of peace in 1913, dealing with the aftermath of the Balkan Wars in 1912 and 1913, as well as scenes from the Great War. Marković-Erdeljanin depicts the small, everyday person in these situations and a variety of locations, from Belgrade to the interior of Serbia to the front lines.
