The Importance of Loyalty

How much can loyalty take from you? That is the question that Brynhild Von Meiser and her friends must discover when her parents summon them to a Christmas meeting of the lords of Augston. Her father anticipates war with the king of Augston, and he demands that she marry a man with an army for him. Karl Von Saxe-Kline, Bigitte Von Saxe-Kline, and Alfred Von Saxe-Kline wait for their own lord, Landgrave Rudolf, to hire the men so they can defend their home from a lawsuit, but Rudolf delays. But then a boy is discovered dead in the moat, and all their plans start to fall apart. Brynhild must prove that the boy was murdered if she wants the autonomy to defend Meiser from a husband, and her father tempts the Saxe-Kliner's away from Rudolf with a job offer if they will catch the king stealing.
