Ireland Again & Other New Poetry

This collection by Irish poet Patrick James features a variety of themes, with an inescapable backdrop of Irishness be it emigration or religion (both Christian and Pagan): the list goes on! The subject-matter broaches on such universal (but diverse) concerns as love, hate, loneliness, joy, but veers into such contemporary / universal issues as the environment, pollution, cancer, as well as asking the question what does the future hold for us all? Other matters discussed include world mythologies and topics that affect each one of us aging and death, but are equally balanced with (re)birth and new life being celebrated.
