The Dark Highway

This is one of Arthur Gask's best known novels. It features Detective Gilbert Larose who also appears in some of Gask's later works. "The Dark Highway" is set in the Coorong district of Australia. The outback is the perfect setting for this great crime story. Add in a horse race, a few nefarious characters and you will agree that Arthur Gask was a crime writer ahead of his time!
