Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes

Eric is the fattest boy in junior high, and Sarah's face has been hideously scarred by a mysterious accident when she was three years old. Together, the two misfits take joy in striking back at the bullies and "perfect" people who make their lives miserable. But in high school, Eric is convinced to try out for the swim team by a compassionate teacher. As the tough workouts start shedding Eric's pounds, he worries that he'll also lose his one true friendship.
